Background & How Onur Joined Die Tryin Co.

Onur Oncer is a U.S. Army combat veteran who served in Field Artillery as a 13B Cannon Crewmember — the same unit and same MOS as Die Tryin Co. founder Jon Klipstein. The two served together. That's how the trust was built. The collaboration came years later.

Jon founded Die Tryin Co. (originally UXO Supplements) on his own in 2015. Onur came into the picture more recently — after building Shroombiosis, his own mycology and functional-mushroom supplement line, and bringing that formulation work into the conversation. The collaboration grew from there: Onur now contributes science review, SEO, and content work to Die Tryin Co. while continuing to formulate for Shroombiosis.

Onur earned the Combat Action Badge (2011) for active engagement with enemy forces and the Army Commendation Medal (2012) during his service. He left the Army and went into academic science — a BS in Physiology at the University of Arizona, peer-reviewed research at the U of A Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, four years of medical school coursework at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, and over 1,000 hours of clinical shadowing.
