DETAILS

Two softgels put 2,400 mg of fish oil in you, and that fish oil carries 1,440 mg of actual omega-3: 864 mg EPA and 576 mg DHA. That is a 60 percent concentration. Commodity fish oil runs closer to 30 percent, which is why what is on the back of the bottle matters more than the number on the front.

Sourced from wild cold-water fish and lemon-coated, so you are not tasting it an hour later. Non-GMO, gluten free, and tested for impurities. 30 servings per bottle.

WHAT MAKES OUR OMEGAS DIFFERENT?

Concentration and form. We use the long-chain fatty acids EPA and DHA, the two your body uses directly. Cheaper omega products lean on ALA from plant oils, which your body has to convert into EPA and DHA first. That conversion is inefficient, so you need far more of it to end up in the same place.

At 864 mg EPA and 576 mg DHA per serving, you are getting the forms that do the work, at a dose you can actually point to on the panel.*

EPA AND DHA VS ALA

Omega-3 is not one thing. EPA and DHA are the long-chain forms found in fish. ALA is the short-chain form found in flax, chia and walnuts.

ALA is not useless, but your body has to convert it to EPA and DHA to use it that way, and it does that conversion poorly. A label advertising a big "omega-3" number built mostly from ALA is not the same product as one built from EPA and DHA. Read which one you are buying.*

OMEGA BENEFITS

Supportive but not conclusive research shows that consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. One serving of Omega provides 1.44 grams of EPA and DHA.

Beyond that, omega-3s are a daily staple for people who train hard: they support joint comfort and normal recovery from training, and they are one of the few supplements worth taking on rest days as much as training days.*

Frequently asked questions

The questions we get asked most about our Omega. If yours is not here, reach out.

WHAT MAKES OUR OMEGAS BETTER?

Dose and form. 2,400 mg of fish oil per serving yielding 1,440 mg of omega-3, split 864 mg EPA and 576 mg DHA. Those are the long-chain forms your body uses directly rather than ALA, which has to be converted first and converts poorly. Every number is on the panel.

WILL I GET THAT NASTY FISH AFTERTASTE?

No. The fish is wild and cold-water rather than the rancid cheap stuff, and the softgels are lemon-coated. That combination is what kills the burps and the aftertaste most people quit omegas over.

HOW DO I TAKE OMEGA?

Two softgels daily, with food. Morning is easiest to stay consistent with, but the time of day matters far less than taking it every day. Take it on rest days too.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

For most healthy adults, no. If you take blood thinners or are scheduled for surgery, talk to your physician before using fish oil. Use as directed, and check with your physician first if you have any underlying health condition.
