VasoDrive-AP

By Jon Klipstein, U.S. Army Combat Veteran & Founder of Die Tryin Co.

Science reviewed by Onur Oncer, BS Physiology (Phi Beta Kappa) and peer-reviewed published researcher.

THE PUMP INGREDIENT MADE FROM MILK

VasoDrive-AP® is a trademarked casein hydrolysate: milk protein broken down to concentrate two specific tripeptides, VPP and IPP, that inhibit ACE, the enzyme your body uses to tighten blood vessels. Dial that enzyme down and vessels relax, which is exactly the state you want blood flowing through mid-set.

Most pump ingredients work by pushing nitric oxide production up. VasoDrive-AP attacks the other side of the equation: it takes the brakes off. That is why it pairs with L-Citrulline and Nitrosigine instead of competing with them.

Where it sits in the line, at the dose on the label:

Product VasoDrive-AP per serving Riding with
Red Dot 508 mg 9,000 mg pure L-Citrulline, zero caffeine
Pump Action 508 mg 1,500 mg Nitrosigine, capsule format
Project M777 (per scoop) 254 mg 5,000 mg L-Citrulline and the full stim stack

WHAT THE RESEARCH SHOWS

The tripeptides in VasoDrive-AP have real human data behind them. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial, one week of casein hydrolysate containing VPP and IPP raised peak forearm blood flow from 20.8 to 30.0 mL per minute per 100 mL of tissue, a roughly 44 percent improvement in vessel responsiveness, with no change in blood pressure. A systematic review and meta-analysis of 18 randomized controlled trials covering 1,194 subjects found the same tripeptides produce modest reductions in resting blood pressure, larger in some populations than others, consistent with the ACE-restraining mechanism.

One honesty note on units, because the two numbers are not the same kind of number:

Dose What the number counts
In the trials 1.8 to 17.1 mg per day, most under 5 mg The isolated IPP + VPP tripeptides themselves
On our labels 508 mg (Red Dot, Pump Action) · 254 mg per scoop (M777) The full VasoDrive-AP hydrolysate that carries them

Where the evidence stops: those trials were run in people with mildly elevated blood pressure, not in lifters chasing a pump, and the blood-pressure effects in the broader literature are modest and population-dependent. We formulate on the vasodilation mechanism, with Red Dot and Pump Action at the 508 mg dose the category is standardized around, and we disclose every milligram. VasoDrive-AP is a training ingredient here, not a treatment for anything. If blood pressure is a health concern, that conversation belongs with your doctor, not a supplement label.

WHY IT PAIRS INSTEAD OF COMPETES

L-Citrulline raises the raw material for nitric oxide. Nitrosigine delivers arginine directly. VasoDrive-AP works upstream of both by restraining the enzyme that constricts the vessel in the first place. Stack a supply-side ingredient with a brakes-off ingredient and each one has more room to work, which is the entire architecture of Red Dot and Pump Action. The Nitrosigine deep dive covers the supply side of that same partnership.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is VasoDrive-AP?

A trademarked hydrolysate of milk casein standardized for two ACE-inhibiting tripeptides, VPP and IPP. It supports vasodilation by reducing the activity of the enzyme that constricts blood vessels.

Is VasoDrive-AP dairy-derived?

Yes. It is made from milk casein, and products carrying it list milk on the allergen line. Check the label of the specific product if dairy is a concern for you.

What dose does the research use?

The trials report doses as milligrams of the tripeptides themselves: 1.8 to 17.1 mg per day, most under 5 mg. Labels, ours included, list the hydrolysate that carries them: 508 mg in Red Dot and Pump Action, the standard dose for this material, and 254 mg per scoop in M777. Different units, and we would rather explain that than blur it.

Does it work without caffeine?

The mechanism has nothing to do with stimulants, which is why it anchors both of our stim-free pump formulas. If you want the full breakdown of what belongs in a pre-workout and why, start with the essential pre-workout ingredients guide.
