Pre-Workout Without Beta-Alanine

If the tingles are the reason you stopped taking pre-workout, this is the shelf for you. Beta-Alanine causes that pins-and-needles feeling, and none of these three contain it. Red Dot is a full pump and focus formula with zero caffeine. Pump Action is a stim-free capsule. SEND IT Sport is the endurance option and does carry caffeine, 145 mg, so check that before you take it late. Every panel is printed on the label, so you can verify all of this yourself. Red Dot and SEND IT Sport use pure L-Citrulline, never citrulline malate, and Pump Action gets its pump from Nitrosigine and VasoDrive-AP instead. The common 2:1 malate blend is two parts L-Citrulline to one part malic acid, so a 9 g scoop of it is really about 6 g of L-Citrulline. When the Red Dot label says 9,000 mg, you get 9,000 mg.

Under 18 or caffeine-sensitive? Stick to Red Dot and Pump Action. Both contain milk, and both carry VasoDrive-AP, so if you take blood-pressure medication, talk to your doctor before either. If you are pregnant, managing a medical condition or taking medication, clear any supplement with your doctor first.

Do I lose anything with a pre-workout without beta-alanine?

Only in hard efforts of about 30 seconds to 10 minutes, like high-rep sets and intervals, where its benefit builds over about four weeks of daily use. Heavy low-rep lifting doesn't need it. Here's what Beta-Alanine actually does.
